I would like to take this opportunity of introducing myself and the services offered by Dees Catering.

Firstly let me establish my credentials. I trained for 3 years at the well-known Silwood kitchen in Cape Town and emerged as a well-rounded qualified Chef. I immediately accepted a position as Executive chef of Ngala Game Lodge, in Mapumalanga, which was then part of Conservation Co (CCAfrica). I spent 2 happy years there before deciding to move down to Plettenberg bay to build and operate our family business, Redbourne Lodge, which soon became a popular and well-known restaurant and top 100 in food and wine.

When we sold Redbourne Lodge I accepted the challenge of designing the menus and training the chefs for Cruise Café in Knysna, which included the co-ordination of all the food and functions at Featherbed, a well-known tourist destination.

Soon after moving to Plettenberg Bay I identified the need for home catering services for the many holiday makers that visit this beautiful part of the country, so in 2008 I established Dees Catering which gave me the flexibility to be a stay at home Mom and Chef all rolled into one.

I offer a diverse range of delicious options:

  • Drop off meals
  • Freezer dinners
  • Snack Platters
  • 5 Course dinner parties for 2-50
  • Weddings for 10 – 300

I also arrange waiters and cater hire when and if the need arises.
